At Lobstick Literacy & Learning Society, our Digital Skills Tutoring is designed to make technology feel less intimidating and more useful in everyday life. Our friendly, patient tutors work one-on-one with learners to build confidence using the technology they already own and use.
We can help learners better understand their own devices, including smartphones, laptops, iPads, tablets, and other personal technology. Tutoring can include everything from learning basic device functions and settings to using email, accessing websites, downloading and using apps, managing photos and files, completing online forms, staying safe online, and using digital tools for work, communication, appointments, banking, and everyday tasks.
We understand that everyone starts at a different comfort level with technology, especially older adults and seniors. Our tutors take the time to explain things clearly, patiently, and without judgement, allowing learners to practise at their own pace and focus on the skills that are most useful to them. Our goal is to help people feel more confident, independent, and connected in an increasingly digital world.
